U.S. and emerging market equities fueled gains in the quarter, while Canadian and international equities were flat. Looking forward, Chhad Aul, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Multi-Asset Solutions, SLGI Asset Management Inc., expects that active management may do well in light of slowing economies and pressure to lower interest rates.
