TORONTO, June 8, 2018 /CNW/ - Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. ("Sun Life Global Investments") and Excel Funds Management Inc. ("Excel") today announces the closure of Excel Money Market Fund, after not receiving the necessary unitholder votes required to proceed with the proposed merger of Excel Money Market Fund into Sun Life Money Market Fund. As outlined in the information circular, Excel Money Market Fund will be closed effective 4:01 p.m. ET on June 15, 2018.
Excel Money Market Fund will be hard capped to new investors as of Friday, June 8, 2018 at 4:01 p.m. ET. Securities will no longer be available for purchase.
Unitholders of Excel Money Market Fund will be able to redeem or switch securities until 4:01 p.m. ET on June 14, 2018.
